DAMNIT now i have to get around to doing a journal thing again!

Well its been....almost a year since ive written one because im lazy.

1. What's your most ingenious cosplay discovery?
errrr.....i cant say ive discovered anything if im honest. most things i know ive read somewhere.

2. You kicked a puppy: why?
because im an evil human being.

3. What is your favourite material (fabric, glues, etc.)?
hmmm, something that is free? nothing is more satisfying then making something out of nothing.

4. How do you choose materials for a cosplay?
i go with what feels nice, what i think will work for a certain situation. if it's fabric i usually go to my local fabric stores first and touch everything that i like the colour and look of, and then if i cant find what i require then i buy it online. but i do prefer to touch things first to see how they will work out.

5. How far in advance do you plan a cosplay?
hmmm, well i plan things AGES in advance, they just dont seem to happen when i want them to haha. sometimes things are just spontaneous like the week before. i do LIKE to plan ahead though, like at least half a year ahead.

6. The character you want to cosplay is never shown from behind so you have no back references: What do you do?
get really angry because i just NEED back references, i cant stand it if i cant get 360 references. If a character has a back, there is a back reference, its just a case of spending hours on the internet trying to find it :I

7. Cosplay competions: Yay or Nay? Why?
well. yay for meeting new people and having the experience. nay for all the drama surrounding stuff like that and the shit that can happen. if everyone was chill about competitions, then it would be fine. although online contests involving facebook can piss off.

8. How did you start cosplaying?
i was like "oh that looks like a cool idea, i like making stuff and i like halloween". then began my search on the internet and finding out the UK had conventions and Amecon was running in the summer!

9. Who are you in the real world?
a person who works too hard and gets paid too little. also im super shy until you get to know me, then im a vulgar and foul human being. am i selling myself yet?

10.What does cosplay fame mean?
oh god you tell me, make it leave.

UPDATE STUFF
Well i didnt actually DO a lot after my last journal, it was Amecon then October Expo, and i didnt really make anything new really because i didnt have the drive or motivation after JE.
But now its a new year and con season is starting up again. I recently attended LSCC wearing Alibaba from Magi, because im a rebel and it was the only new thing id finished. Next up is May Expo!
